Opportunities to practice and serve

Welcome to all those who want to help the Sangha.

To ensure the smooth running of the activities of the Sangha and its development, there is much to do. Every thing that must be done is an opportunity to practice, an opportunity to give back to the Sangha, to make service in Mindfulness. There is no chore and no task. Only opportunities to practice and serve.

Under the responsibility of the Board of Directors and the Council of Teachers, you can be part of the Caretaking Council of the Sangha to offer assistance, take a training if necessary, in order to support areas of righteous actions following:

  1. Supporting practice
    1. Monthly information sessions (first Monday/Thursday of the month)
    2. Facilitation of meditation sessions (subject to having trained and with the approval of Teachers)
    3. Coordination of Days of Mindfulness and participation in the conduct of DOM
    4. Coordination of retreats and participation in their development
  2. Logistics
    1. Coordination and enrollment for management workshops
    2. Welcome to the meditation sessions and workshops
    3. Sales, inventory, supplies ( CD-DVD, and others)
    4. Library (inventory, registration of new, loan, return to latecomers, etc.).
    5. Audio-video installation and operation (sound console , projector, recordings, etc.
    6. Computer support (website, equipment, information processing and databases)
    7. Telephony (Committee who answer phone calls)
  3. Maintenance
    1. Maintenance (dusting, cleaning, kitchen, bathroom, etc.).
    2. Office supplies - printer paper, cartridges, common supplies (paper clips, pins, pens, small pads of paper, etc.).
    3. Renewal of general supplies (toilet , soap, coffee, tea, paper towels, etc.).
    4. Mats and cushions - Cleaning, repair, renew the stock
    5. Watering plants
    6. Hardware Organization ( Ex: storage of cushions and rugs, other facilities, etc.).

Just as vegetation is sensible to sunlight, mental formations are sensitive to mindfulness. Mindfulness is the energy that can embrace and transform all mental formations. Mindfulness helps us leave behind "upside-down perceptions" and wakes us up to what is happening.
